মেহেরপুরের গাংনী উপজেলার ৪ টি দর্শনীয় স্থানের চতুর্থ অবস্থানে রয়েছে জোড়পুকুরিয়া মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়। ২৮ এপ্রিল সোমবার সকালে তথ্য ও প্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রনালয়ের সহযোগিতায় গাংনী উপজেলা প্রশাসনের আয়োজনে উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসারের সভাকক্ষে ডিজিটাল মেলার উদ্বোধন করা হয়। ২ দিন ব্যাপী ডিজিটাল মেলার আলোচনা সভায় উপজেলার দর্শনীয় স্থানের নাম প্রকাশ করা হয়। উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মুহাম্মদ আব্দুস সালামের সভাপতিত্বে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে মেলা উদ্বোধন করেন, মেহেরপুর-২ ( গাংনী) আসনের এমপি বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা মকবুল হোসেন। সভায় উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মুহাম্মদ আব্দুস সালাম গাংনী উপজেলার দর্শনীয় স্থানের মধ্যে চিৎলা পাট বীজ ফার্মকে প্রথম, ভাটপাড়া নীলকুঠি দ্বিতীয়, করমদি গোসাই জামে মসজিদকে তৃতীয় এবং জোড়পুকুরিয়া মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়কে চতুর্থ স্থান হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেন। উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মুহাম্মদ আব্দুস সালাম ওই সভায় আরো জানান, শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের মধ্যে মেহেরপুর জেলার প্রথম দর্শনীয় স্থানে রয়েছে জোড়পুকুরিয়া মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়। এ ব্যাপারে জোড়পুকুরিয়া মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক হাসান আল নূরানী জানান, জোড়পুকুরিয়া মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়ের যে অর্জন তার সবটুকুই এলাকাবাসীর কৃতিত্ব। ম্যানেজিং কমিটি ও এলাকাবাসীর সহযোগিতায় এ অজর্ন সম্ভব হয়েছে। সকলের সহযোগিতা অব্যাহত থাকলে, শুধু উপজেলা,জেলা ও বিভাগ নয়। সারা দেশের সেরা দর্শনীয় স্থান হিসেবে দেখাতে পারবো।
